    The Art School of Peristeri has been operating in Peristeri, Attica, since September 2017. The school of this type aims to enrich and broaden the general education provided through the cultivation of students' arts and encouraging and supporting their interest in them. Each year, students are admitted to the First High School by examination. Daily lessons include up to 8 teaching hours (08:15 - 14:50). The following artistic directions are in school: Visual Arts, Theater - Cinema, Dance. The aim of Visual Arts is to enhance creativity, expression and experimentation using a variety of materials and instruments. In the workshops of the school artists-teachers familiarize students with the aesthetic values ​​of art, enhance their ability to approach the natural or structured environment, question and develop a critical attitude towards actions that affect our lives. In the direction of Theatro - Cinema the program focuses on achieving a harmonious relationship with the body which as a tool of consciousness will then be a means of studying and expressing senses, mental states, and approaches to different roles. The students are taught acting, voice, basic principles of filmmaking, cinematic technology - editing as well as computer animation. In the direction of Dance, the lessons relate to basic classical ballet, modern and traditional dance lessons. while the pupils - through their methodical exercises - are led to dramatic processing of a work, acquiring experiential familiarity with rhythms, musical measures and values, as well as elementary knowledge about the theory and history of music.
